The Rev. Kirk T. Berlenbach was kind enough to grant me permission to use these two photos circa 1989 of him with a huge, charged mohawk. You will note that the "Rebel For Jesus" shirt he's seen wearing in the old photos re-appears (featuring blood stains!) in one of the photos Karen Kirchhoff took of him on the night of our interview.

The other photo is Father Kirk and me in a pew at Saint Timothy's Episcopal Church just before the interview.
